A ’48 Chevy Fleetline, every man’s envy! Miguel
Lopez, from Antioch, CA, has found the dream car of many lowriding
followers. He is the proud owner of a garnet red ’48
Chevy Fleetline that he spotted in the newspaper ad and simply
had to buy it. He purchased his car in 1995 for $10,000 and
since then has invested about $7,000 in making it a show car.
Miguel’s Fleetline is running on a 235 from a 1959 Chevy
that was also rebuilt. It has had the bumper wrap rounds,
the front, rear bumpers, back up lights, and the passing eye
mirror all plated by Johnson Plating in Oakland, CA. The ’48
Chevy is cruising the streets of Antioch on 15” Artillery
wheels, that were purchased from a friend with Denman 600’s
tires purchased from deals on Wheels in Concord, CA. He beats
out with an Alpine Deck that has a 10 disk CD changer, a Clarion
100w amp and Infinity 6x9’s speakers. The upholstery
has a stock interior that was redone by a friend inside a
garage in the city of Pittsburgh, CA.
Miguel has wanted a ’48 Chevy Fleetline ever since his
compadre purchased his lowrider. It took him four years to
fix up his lowrider dream and since then drives it two or
three times per week and on weekends. Miguel would like to
thak his wife and family for backing him up, getting him back
into the lowriding scene, and for their full support. Also
he would like to thank his compadre for helping him work on
the car and put it all together. |
