Every lowrider deserves our lowriding communityís respect; but only those
exceptional to all others receive recognition. This issueís car or the month belongs to oscar Lizarde. He has belonged to the Excandalow Car Club for one year now and is the proud owner of a 1962 Chevy Impala. He currently cruises down the streets of Richmond, in his aqua green machine painted by Marco Aguilar and 13 x 7 Dayton Wheels purchased from a yard sale. He is eager for everyone to take a look at this
captivated creation. This Lowrider is running on a rebuilt 327 Chevy motor and is envied
by itís modifications, such as: the wrap around frame, chrome suspension, chrome
engine, and an installation of four pumps and eight batteries. All rear end and suspension parts were plated by a close friend of his, john. Just when this lowrider was reaching the peak of itís enchantment, oscar added four competition Showtime pumps hydralics purchased from Watsonville headquarters. However, this was not all, it was beating out to a couple of Pioneers with 7î monitors. The car was originally purchased in 1998 from Danny Susa in Vallejo for only $3,500 . When purchased, ìIt was a piece of junk. It needed to be fully restored. That thing was pretty screwed up,î but with the help of his friends, they got to where it is now. Since then, Oscar has invested over $15,000 into this Lowrider. He enjoys driving his car as much as he can and wherever he can. His desire to build a Lowrider finally paid off when he won five trophies for fixing it up and being what it is now. Oscar Lizarde would like to thank all his family for supporting him when he got that rust bucket. A special thanks goes out to Marco, Jose Aguilar, Willy Perez, El Big Vale, and Edwin, for being there for him through the journey of building his car. Also, we would like to send a shout out to all our people in Richmond, and encourage the Lowriding lifestyle to all. See ya!!!
